About us
Pharmacists without Borders Germany e.V. (Apotheker ohne Grenzen Deutschland e.V.) is a non-profit organisation, which supports people in need. The NGO was founded in 2000 with the aim to provide quick help after disasters such as earthquakes or floods and the aim to support long-term projects in the sustainable improvement of health care.
Over 2,000 members from Germany and abroad support this work. Most of the members are pharmacists and work in public pharmacies, hospitals or in the industry. All activities of the members for the organisation is voluntary.
The aim of all activities is to promote sustainable access to high-quality medicinal products and to strengthen the role of pharmacy as a central element of health care. The organisation is geared to the local specific needs and works closely with local project partners. Most of the activities take place in the project countries. In emergency aid AoG supports the installation and operation of mobile and fixed pharmacies.

Nach zwei erfolgreichen Medikamentenlieferungen mit der Partnerorganisation Anera beobachtet Apotheker ohne Grenzen derzeit mit Sorge die anhaltend dramatische Situation der Menschen im Gaza-Streifen.Bedingt durch aktive Kampfhandlungen und logistische Herausforderungen durch Grenzschließungen und fehlende Infrastruktur stehen wir wie auch viele weitere NGOs vor einer äußerst unübersichtlichen Lage, die es uns aktuell leider unmöglich macht, eine weitere Medikamentenlieferung zu planen.Wir prüfen die Zusammenarbeit mit weiteren internationalen Partnerorganisationen und bauen unsere Kontakte in die Region aus. Ziel bleibt es, Wege zu finden, um die Menschen vor Ort zu unterstützen.
