We are still so pleasured to always send our great appreciations to you all for the great support, love and being fully with us during our crowd funding campaign to seeing that we create our own Self organized empowerment Spaces in East Africa (Uganda, Kampala and in D.R Congo, Bukavu).
We are also happy of always keeping you updated with the progress of our lovely Projects ever since we started our crowd funding campaign programme to date. Therefore, here are some of our new updates of some steps we have got involved with previously.
Recently, last week we had a meeting with One Youth One heart, an organization in Kampala also dealing with empowering young refugees with entrepreneurship skills and knowledge to become self-sustainable. This organization has greatly committed to offer us with free space as empowerment space where we can conduct trainings to refugees in their communities. The also pledge to coordinate and mobilize for the refugee youth in Kampala slams to seriously take part and learning from our sessions. We are as well happy of creating a strong bond with this organization.
We also managed to have a meeting with our scholars in Kampala slam, (Najjanankumbi) of getting feedback on how they see our trainings and empowerment services. Mostly they like our project because it has highly helped them with personal discovery and starting to unleash their potentials. However, they invited us to get a specific location where we can officially keep conduct trainings and as well for easy identification of our organization.
During the last two weeks we have been taking part in the retreat and launching programme of a new Empowerment space (Unleashed) in Nakivale refugee settlement in Isingiro district. This is an organization also aiming at empowering young and adult refugees in the Nakivale Refugee Camp. Unleashed helps them to create their own opportunities, Social businesses or enterprises to improve their wellbeing and live sustainable life. With this retreat we empowered the refugees in Nakivale refugee settlement with personal discovery, personal development and professional development skills so that they can be able to start their own opportunities.
We also managed to officially launch Unleashed self-learning empowerment center with all the Refugee residents in Nakivale refugee settlement in order for it to start carrying on its daily programmes to their beneficiaries.
