Über uns
KCECHO - Karatu Cultural Environmental Conservation and Health Organisation ist eine gemeinnützige NGO (non governmental organisation) in Karatu im Norden Tansanias.
Für die 2009 gegründete Organisation arbeiten drei Direktoren zusammen mit einer variierenden Anzahl von Voluntären aus Deutschland und Tansania.
KCECHO wurde geründet, um die lokale Bevölkerug in Karatu zu unterstützen und hat mittlerweile drei unabhängige Projekte eingeführt:
1) Kulturtourismus-Programm: Besucher sollen die Möglichkeit bekommen, Land und Leute abseits von normalen Touristen-Pfaden und Safari-Autos kennen zu lernen und die lokale Bevölkerung an den Einnahmen des Tourismus teilhaben zu lassen
2) Umwelt-Projekt: Grundschulkinder werden über relevante Umwelt-Themen unterrichtet und ihnen beigebracht, wie man verantwortungsvoll mit der Natur umgeht
3) Gesundheits-Projekt: Aufklärung über HIV/Aids und Hygiene, sowie 1. Hilfe- Kurse für die lokale Bevölkerung in Karatu

Donations that cannot be used for the project
Dear donors,
when managers of a project haven't requested a payout over the course of a longer period, the German law and our terms of use provide that we (gut.org gemeinnützige AG, operator of betterplace.org) use the money for our tax-deductible purposes. The same applies to the cancellation of a project, where the manager of the project is unable to realize it.
Therefore we will use these donations for the following purposes
