Die Verletzung von Menschenrechten ist an Europas Grenzen zum Alltag geworden. Ob Pushbacks auf offener See & auf dem Balkan, horrende Umstände in Lagern auf den griechischen Inseln oder die in Kauf genommene Obdachlosigkeit auf den Straßen Athens. Europe Cares e.V. unterstützt Menschen auf der Flucht aus der Ferne & vor Ort und setzt sich für eine humane Migrationspolitik ein.

Dear friends and supporters,
Thank you to everyone who continued supporting us in the past weeks and months. Because of you, we are able to continue running our center!
Your donations are directly used to continue our operations in our Community Center Paréa Lesvos, where People on the Move can access a variety of services, such as the free Café, where cold drinks and nutritious food are especially important now during the hot season. Moreover, we operate the Women Space and the Paréa Club, where people can connect with each other and access different activities like sports, games and workshops. The computer classes offer many of our visitors the possibility to learn new skills and enhance their professional opportunities regarding their future in Europe. In general, the development of our space is always important, since we as Europe Cares are responsible for the maintenance of the facilities where 10 partner organizations operate daily.
As an update: In June, it was Refugee Week, since on the 20th of June, it was Refugee Day! On this day and throughout the whole week, we reflected on what it means to be a refugee, celebrated and honored the strength of people on the move and raised awareness about the topic. These celebrations were possible also thanks to your support!
Looking back on what we’ve achieved so far and how we managed to get through difficult times, we realize again and again that all those events wouldn’t be possible without your donations, which makes us extra thankful to have all of you as part of the Paréa Community. Your contribution has a big impact on the lives of People on the Move and we need people like you to keep fighting for a world where everyone feels safe and welcomed!
