Über uns
Ekukhanyeni is based near Johannesburg, South Africa in impoverished areas. The project provides capacity and early childhood development (ECD) services to 20 ECD Centres where over 1 000 children are exposed to formal early childhood care and education and are effectively prepared for school success.
Ekukhanyeni is poised to expand its successful model to reach other vulnerable children in the immediate vicinity and is strategically driving a 10-year expansion project of the Ekukhanyeni model to many other regions across South Africa to meet the urgent early childhood development needs amongst children 0-6 years old.
The model focuses on three strategic pillars of:
Educate -ECD Centre Development and Early Education
Employ - Skills Development, Mentorship and Workplace readiness
Feed - Food & Nutrition Security
