Über uns
Zweck des Vereins ist die Förderung des Tierschutzes, insbesondere der Schutz der Marinen Okosysteme und der Haie. Obwohl bereits viele Haiarten vom Aussterben bedroht sind, werden auch in Europa unverändert Haie für ihre Flossen gejagt. Ziel ist es deshalb, den Handel mit Haiflossen in der EU zu beenden.

October has been an exciting and meaningful month for our team – thanks to your incredible support, StopFinningEU is back in Brussels! Your donations made it possible to temporarily reopen our Brussels office and take part in #EUOceanWeek, one of the key moments shaping Europe’s ocean policy.
As part of it, we hosted our own Shark Lab event with our valued partners in the EU Parliament. We were supported by MEP Manuela Ripa, who stands firmly with us in calling for a complete ban on the shark fin trade. The event brought together Members of Parliament, Commission officials, and ministry representatives from various departments and informed broadly about our common mission for sharks.
Now, it´s finally here. The final sprint for StopFinningEU at EU level – making sure the 1.1 million voices for sharks are heard. Until real change happens.
