Über uns
„Suubi lya baana“ ist ein Ausdruck in Luganda (die meist verbreitetste Sprache in Uganda) welcher übersetzt „Hoffnung von Kindern“ bedeutet. Dieser Name würde von den Kindern des Child Restoration Outreach Jinja selbst ausgewählt. Da ihre Begeisterung Grund für die Gründung des Vereins war, wollten wir sie in den Prozess der Gründung einbinden.
Der gemeinnützige Verein "Suubi lya baana" unterstützt seit Dezember 2017 Kinder, die in der ugandischen Stadt Jinja auf der Straße leben. Der Verein arbeitet eng mit der lokalen NGO Child Restoration Outreach zusammen und sammelt spenden, um die Schulgebühren der Kinder zu tragen. Gegründet wurde der Verein von drei ehemaligen Freiwilligen, die 2016/2017 als Teil des weltwärts-Programms für 13 Monate vor Ort arbeiteten.

School Essentials: Uniforms, including sweaters, socks, shoes, and sportswear, alongside necessary academic materials like notebooks, pens, and hygiene supplies. Specialized Needs: Critical aid for school projects and medical care. 100% Commitment: We proudly confirm that 100% of your donations directly contributed to these causes, with our administrative expenses fully covered by member contributions.
Looking Ahead: As we approach a new academic year, we are excited to continue this journey and extend our impact. Your ongoing support will enable us to uphold our commitment to these children and potentially expand our reach.
