About us
"Suubi lya baana" is an expression in Luganda (the most common language in Uganda) which translated means "Hope of Children". This name would be chosen by the children of Child Restoration Outreach Jinja themselves. Since their enthusiasm was the reason for the foundation of the association, we wanted to involve them in the process of its establishment.
The non-profit association "Suubi lya baana" has been supporting children living on the streets in the Ugandan city of Jinja since December 2017. The association works closely with the local NGO Child Restoration Outreach and collects donations to cover the children's school fees. The association was founded by three former volunteers who worked on-site for 13 months in 2016/2017 as part of the weltwärts program.

Specialized Needs: Critical aid for school projects and medical care. 100% Commitment: We proudly confirm that 100% of your donations directly contributed to these causes, with our administrative expenses fully covered by member contributions.
Looking Ahead: As we approach a new academic year, we are excited to continue this journey and extend our impact. Your ongoing support will enable us to uphold our commitment to these children and potentially expand our reach.
