Letzte Projektneuigkeit

The second project phase begins

Dear Betterplace community,

After we were able to successfully implement the first project phase of our solar project in Benin, Cotonou in February 2024 thanks to your generous donations, we are now starting the second phase.  In the first project phase, in addition to the successful implementation of the solar pump and PV system, we were able to collect enough donations to start building a small canteen. We want to build on this previous success with this year's project. Our goal is to

Equip the canteen with a PV system to electrify a fridge for food preservation Equip the canteen with lighting and sockets Electrify the emergency room of the small hospital, on whose premises the maternity ward is also located, with the help of its own PV system Electrify the ticket office
As the members of the first project phase did an excellent job in training the maintenance of the systems, the PV systems that have already been installed have been running smoothly so far. We have therefore decided to equip the other buildings with modular PV systems to give the hospital staff the chance to take the best possible care of their patients.

We also want to give the local community the opportunity to generate their own sustainable income by selling food in the canteen. This additional income can be used not only to maintain the solar systems, but also to create new jobs. In order to achieve this goal, we are once again dependent on your donations.

Thanks to your trust and generous contribution, we have already been able to make a positive impact. We now want to continue this in the second phase of the project.

We are still in close contact with the local people to meet their needs and requirements. If you have any questions or would like to provide further feedback, please feel free to contact us at any time.Thank you once again for your support!

With best regards,

Your Solar-Hospital Team
