Social Period aims to make period products accessible for everyone. For this purpose, boxes are installed in public areas, for example in drugstores or educational and sport institutions. By choosing highly frequented locations, everyone has the opportunity to donate period products. The donations will be delivered monthly to the local social institutions, such as the emergency shelter Berliner Stadtmission/Caritasverband, the emergency shelter for homeless families, women, couples and men by strassenfeger e. V.; as well as the emergency accommodation for women „Mitten im Kiez“, who have all confirmed the urgent need for menstruation articles.
