About this project
Why is a car SO essential for the Vocational School?
FOOD: The institution is a day- and boarding school. All students get meals at school. For this matter, we need to transport food from the market or farm to school. In order to cook this food, the school needs tones of firewood.
WATER: Sometimes, there is water shortage at school. With a car, it becomes easy to draw water from the Lake Victoria. With this water our students can cook, wash and bath.
SICKNESS: Accidents, malaria and other diseases are always a challenge for the whole Village of Rubaga. Sick students, staff and neighbours depend on a reliable mean to get to a hospital as fast as possible.
MATERIAL: The institution is a vocational school in nature. That’s why we depend on training materials like bricks, sand, cement, timber etc.
INTERNSHIP: We, as the administration, are always willed to give our students internship possibilities in factories, workshops, construction sites etc. Some areas in Uganda are not covered by public transport.
EXAMS: During the end of every year, our students sit for national examinations. It is the responsibility of the institution’s head to collect and return examination papers to the police everyday on time and under security.
