Shisásáy – Active in Cameroon

Shisásáy means little spark of fire in Lamnso, the tribal dialect of Nso people.
A small spark can ignite a whole fire and light up a room. Often it takes only that little spark, a small action, to initiate a great effect. Our initiative aims to be such a spark. Shisásáy is a non-political, non-religious and non-profit organization. We see ourselves as partners in developmental cooperation for local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and project initiatives. Therefore, we invest in existing projects to encourage local initiatives and employees. A critical factor for us is that all projects are sustainable and that the responsibility lies in the hands of the Cameroon people.

Our key sectors:
Education for all: In the orphans project (OVC), we sponsor the education of children
Local NGOs and projects: We support local projects and are working closely with Cameroonian NGOs
Investment in the future: We encourage education and training of young people and adults
Coaching: We are involved in exchange among qualified personnel and counsel organizations
Intercultural living: We want to share Cameroonian lifestyl and explain about African living condition during educational activities for a better understanding between cultures

Objectives of the organization
We want to contribute to international understanding and the appreciation of the different living conditions in developing countries and industrialized nations. The living conditions of people in the North West Province of Cameroon should improve through counseling schools and NGOs as well as investing donations sustainable in self-responsible projects.
For us it is crucial that the Cameroonians take their future into their own hands to increase quality of living. Therefore, we want to support people to help themselves, and invest in educational projects and awareness campaigns for all age groups
