About us
Schülerhilfe Sansibar e.V. was founded in 2022 to provide children in Zanzibar with long-term access to education.
The association currently supports three schools:
St. Monica School (Primary, Stone Town)
St. Barnabas School (Primary, Mahonda)
St. Paul School (Secondary, Stone Town)
Our work includes school sponsorships, construction and renovation projects, food programs, as well as the promotion of English, arts, and inclusion.
We are currently focusing on two key projects:
Renovation of St. Monica School – the building is at risk of collapse, and a new roof is needed to ensure safe learning conditions.
Expansion of St. Barnabas School – due to increasing student numbers, new classrooms and a staff room are being built. The first rooms are already completed, more are under construction.
Together, we can give children in Zanzibar a brighter future – every contribution helps!

herzlichen Dank für Ihre großzügige Unterstützung! Dank Ihrer Hilfe konnten bereits weitere Klassenzimmer fertiggestellt werden.
Der nächste Bauschritt steht nun bevor: In St. Barnabas werden vier Fenster sowie zwei Türen inklusive Türschwellen und Zargen eingebaut. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass das Projekt dank Ihrer Spenden so gut voranschreitet und die Lernbedingungen für die Kinder sich stetig verbessern.
