About us

Our club was founded on 10 July 1990 and emerged from the swimming departments of the former BSG Stahl Maxhütte and Motor Saalfeld. We currently have around 340 members, around half of whom are children and young people. In addition to performance-oriented and general training groups, we also offer water gymnastics and senior swimming groups. With more than 15 trainers and instructors, we train four days a week in the Saalfeld indoor swimming pool. Our competition team includes swimmers of all ages up to Masters (seniors), some of whom have already taken part in international European and World Championships. Our Masters have also achieved success at the German and European Masters Championships.
