About us

We are the Protestant congregation of Vierthäler in Bacharach. Over the years, four formerly self-sufficient parishes have merged, so that we are now proud users of four medieval churches.
The parish is spread over several villages in the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Upper Middle Rhine”. We run a kindergarten and we have a very active youth work with a full-time employee who always manages to inspire young people for our church.
With their help, we managed to build up a regular online worship service during the Covid-period and even to supply our seniors with tablet computers to keep in touch.
We are a very rural parish in a rather structurally weak region. There are no big sponsors or patrons here. We believe in the many who create great things together.
