About us

HEIZHAUS gGmbH (formerly urban souls e.V.) is a non-profit organisation and independent youth welfare NGO that has been active since 2002 and is dedicated to promoting youth welfare, culture, sport, music, art and care for the elderly. Starting out with a team of volunteers and the aim of finding a permanent location for our youth culture programmes, we are now a team of 34 part-time staff and more than 80 freelancers and over 100 volunteers who have established a variety of unique offers in the field of socio-cultural and social work in Leipzig. Since then, we have been implementing our diverse programmes in all projects with more than 60,000 participants every year.
