About us

At the Lilienthal, Grasberg and Worpswede food banks, socially committed individuals have made it their mission to collect, sort, and prepare surplus food, including donated items from overproduction that would otherwise be wasted, in order to distribute it to needy families and individuals in the communities of Lilienthal, Grasberg and Worpswede. In doing so, we offer supplementary support to people facing economic hardship and combat food waste. The food bank helps those in need without reservation. Our clients are families and individuals who rely on unemployment benefits, community assistance, basic income support, student loans, or other government assistance. These residents can receive food from the Lilienthal, Grasberg and Worpswede food bank once a week.
