About us
We have been a civil society actor in the field of asylum and migration in the district of Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge since 2008. In 2015, we founded the association ‘AG Asylsuchende SOE e.V.’ from an informal alliance of various associations, initiatives and individuals. We act independently, mainly on a voluntary basis and are non-partisan.
Our commitment is based on universal human rights. Therefore, we also see ourselves as a lobby organisation for refugees. We are committed to improving the living conditions of refugees in the long term; we want to enable equal social participation and empowerment.
We do not see ourselves as a substitute for full-time and state-funded work. Our commitment also includes critically monitoring the asylum policy of the district and the municipalities.

Ende Juni fand unser Straßenfest auf dem Sonnenstein statt. In Kooperation mit anderen Organisationen gab es viel Musik auf der Bühne, Mitmachangebote für Groß und Klein und leckere Snacks und Getränke für zwischendurch. Derzeit ist es das einzige Stadtteilfest, was im Viertel stattfindet - wir freuen uns schon auf nächstes Jahr!
