About us
The team at Rüsselheim e. V. has made it its mission to rescue animals and give them a safe place to live. Our special focus is on so-called “farm animals,” who in industrial farming would have little to no chance of a dignified life. These animals have no lobby and are exploited, mistreated, and killed by the billions.
Around 450 pigs, 850 cattle, more than 300 sheep and goats, five former slaughter ponies, as well as numerous small animals such as chickens and rabbits have found a new life through our care facilities across several federal states and private foster homes — free from the neglect and harshness typical of the slaughter and dairy industries.
They are among the few fortunate ones allowed to live a naturally long life with qualified farmers. And every single day, we work to free even more animals from this system.
