About us
The Mudita Foundation is a organisation based in Hamburg which builds child care projects in Myanmar. The Mudit Care Center started in January 2018. Within the first year, a self-sufficient complex for more than 200 children was built on 12.5 hectare of land within a Buddhist monastery. Thanks to the help of international volunteers as well as local Helpers the Mudita School strives for sustainability in all aspects and operates using only local resources. This way, it ensures the long-term success of his eco-projects. Mudita School is a pilot project and aims to be a role model for development projects in the fields of education, health and ecology.
The Mudita School introduces a new development concept based on modern
educational pedagogy. Starting with a Waldorf Kindergarten, Mudita School now also offers computer and English classes. The development concept is based on working with arts and music to enhance the children’s creativity. A Holistic education for Head, Heard and Hands

This year marks another important milestone for Mudita School. We have welcomed a new primary class, expanded our high school program, and launched our new GED Prep Academy. Today, more than 120 children and young people are learning together at Mudita, creating a vibrant and diverse learning community. We are also proud to have introduced a completely new curriculum based on the Cambridge International framework. All classes are now taught in English and follow internationally recognized standards, helping our students prepare for future educational opportunities around the world. Alongside strong academic learning, we continue to emphasize project-based education, critical thinking, teamwork, and social responsibility. Our students regularly participate in community projects and activities that support refugee families in our region. Through these experiences, they learn not only academic skills but also compassion, leadership, and the importance of contributing positively to society.

Your donations make these opportunities possible. In addition to supporting teacher salaries, school rent, electricity, and daily operating costs, your contributions help us provide essential teaching materials such as exercise books, printed handouts, educational resources, teaching manuals, and classroom supplies. To maintain a modern learning environment, our classrooms are equipped with computers, laptops, internet access, monitors, whiteboards, and presentation tools that allow our teachers to create engaging and interactive lessons. These resources play an important role in delivering the high-quality education our students deserve.

We continue to work closely with international partner schools, educators, and volunteers from around the world. Together, we are building an international learning community that opens new horizons for children who have faced displacement, uncertainty, and limited access to education. Thank you for believing in our mission and for standing alongside our students. Your support helps provide not only education, but also hope, stability, and opportunities for a brighter future.
With heartfelt gratitude, Your Mudita Team 🌸
