Pavillon der Hoffnung e.V.
managed by Miriam Dechant
About us
The non-profit organization Pavillon der Hoffnung in Leipzig e. V. has been reaching numerous people in Leipzig and beyond since its founding in 2000. Located on the grounds of the former Alte Messe, it has grown into a vibrant ecumenical center – a place where faith is lived out, hope is shared, and practical help is provided.
Various initiatives come together in the Pavilion: the August-Hermann-Francke Primary School with around 180 children, the Kunst- & Musikschule Kulturwerk M14 with approximately 260 children and young people, as well as currently 8 international Christian congregations that have found a spiritual home here. In addition, the Pavilion hosts worship services, concerts, seminars, and cultural events.
A key focus of our work is social and diaconal outreach. Each year, around 78,000 items of clothing and approximately 2,500 hot meals are distributed to people in need. Together with the Lutheran Andreas Congregation, we also organize “Friends’ Birthday” celebrations
