About us

The association Tierhilfe Spanien e.V. was founded in Sep 2001 to save dogs and cats from Spanish perreras (killing stations), thus from a certain death and to improve the known desolate situation of stray animals in Spain. Stray animals should be taken off the streets and given the opportunity of a dignified existence. Therefore, the association supports private animal shelters in Spain, promotes local castration projects and sees itself as a link between Spain and a new home in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The following support is provided:

- Financing and organization of castration projects for shelter animals and street cats in and around the shelters
- Placement of the dogs and cats to make room for new arrivals
- Collection of food and needed donations
- Organization of sponsorship money and donations
- Support in financing the expansion of the animal shelters

Tierhilfe Spanien e.V. is recognized by the tax office Geldern as a non-profit organization.
