About us

How can you contribute to making the world a little better? How can you make a difference and do something against the plight of children, the disadvantaged/oppressed and the sick in the countries of the Global South (so-called developing countries)?

In the summer of 2005, a group of young, committed people in the Eggenfelden area in Lower Bavaria asked themselves these questions. The INGEAR association was founded on the initiative of Andreas Huber, who had visited the Brotherhood of Blessed Gerhard project in South Africa and wanted to become active himself. A lot has happened since then: We work together with our partner projects in South Africa, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Rwanda and Bolivia to improve the situation of the local people according to the principle of "helping them to help themselves". The focus of our work is on securing basic needs.

Direct contact is very important for INGEAR, as it takes account of the association's ideals of "transparency" and "direct contact".
