About us

Pro Rauchfrei e.V. is a consumer protection organisation for the promotion of non-smoker protection and public health. It advises consumers and takes action against legal violations in the area of regulation of tobacco products and related products. To this end, it is authorised to take legal action for injunctive relief. The association strives to ensure that elementary areas of life are free from unwanted passive smoking, in particular work, housing, education, sport and health facilities. It addresses governments, administrations, legislative bodies and political parties at state and federal level with position papers, statements and its own draft laws in order to campaign for an improvement in the protection of non-smokers and tobacco prevention. Written submissions, discussions and participation in events are intended to show decision-makers where action can and must be taken. The organisation also carries out public relations work in the press and social media.
