About us
The association "Gegen Noma-Parmed e.V." was founded in 2008.
Our aid organisation fights the most terrible childhood disease, Noma, in West Africa.
Noma is the disease of poverty and children. It robs the weakest, who have virtually nothing left. In Africa, over 100,000 children
affected. Due to malnutrition and a lack of hygiene, Noma first affects the mouth area and attacks the entire face.
If help is not given immediately, the disease leads to a horrific death in 80% of cases. We can help prevent Noma from developing in the first place by simple means. Through education, prevention and the timely supply of antibiotics.
To this end, we are implementing prevention programmes in Burkina Faso (training medical staff and educating the population).
The german actor Michael Mendl is the patron of our organisation and has supported us from the very beginning.

Wir setzen die Spenden für die Aufklärung, Vorsorge und Vermeidung der Krankheit Noma ein und haben dazu ein umfassendes Programm in Burkina Faso entwickelt, um viele Kinder und Familien vor dieser entsetzlichen Krankheit zu schützen.
