About us

humedica e.V. – Medical aid worldwide for people in need

humedica e.V. is an international humanitarian aid organisation based in Kaufbeuren, Germany. Since 1979, we have been providing medical aid, disaster relief and long-term development cooperation worldwide for people affected by natural disasters, crises or poverty.

Our focus is on rapid medical emergency and disaster relief. Within a very short time, we send experienced doctors and medical professionals to crisis areas to save lives and support local healthcare. At the same time, we are involved in sustainable projects that improve access to medical care in the long term and give people new prospects.

To date, humedica has carried out relief efforts in over 90 countries worldwide and supported millions of people. Our work is made possible by a strong network of volunteers, local partner organisations and supporters.

Transparency and responsible use of donations are our top priorities. This has been confirmed annually since 2008 by the donation seal of the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI).
