About us

Health and Education Gambia Association

Our association was founded in April 2006. We mainly realize projects in the fields of medical aid, education sponsorships on site in Gambia. Partly we pursue our own projects, partly we cooperate with Gambian NGOs.

"HEALTH" in our association name stands for: We contribute to the health care of children and their families through medical staff and locally purchased medicines.

"EDUCATION" in our association name stands for: Education is the future. We support schools in their infrastructure projects, make school meals possible, take over education costs and arrange sponsorships for students from underprivileged families.

We concentrate our help on two schools and two nurseries. And on the extensive cooperation with the Sheikh Tihami Ibrahim Nyass Foundation, founded by the midwife Fatou Gaye, which runs both a non-profit clinic and a children's shelter.
