About us
In Germany, over 40,000 children and adolescents are so seriously ill that they will not reach adulthood. The Mannheimer Verein Kinderhospiz Sterntaler e. V. supports these life-shortening children, adolescents and young adults as well as their families and accompanies them on their difficult journey.
Pediatric palliative care begins with the diagnosis and can continue for weeks, months and even years. The sick children and their families are accompanied over the entire course of the disease.
For outpatient nursing as well as voluntary support, the Sterntaler would like to offer the affected families an additional possibility of support with the inpatient children's hospice, which was completed in 2009.
The former mill in Dudenhofen is a "little oasis in the country", a place of peace and strength that families with their sick children can visit again and again in order to be strengthened for the often years of care and support.

Musiktherapie ist eine psychotherapeutische Methode zur Förderung seelischer und körperlicher Gesundheit. Sie bietet den Vorteil, dass sie auch ohne Sprache funktioniert. Ziel ist die Stimulierung positiver Gefühle, also z.B. eine Ablenkung von Schmerzen.
