About us

One Fine Day was founded 2008 in Berlin and enables around 1500 children yearly from Nairobi's largest non-formal settlement Kibera to participate in various creative disciplines (ballet, dance, art, music, acrobatics, drama, creative writing story telling). Our program allows children and adolescents to explore their artistic abilities and use it as a tool to better understand themselves and the world they live in.

The program in Nairobi is led by a Kenyan team, the project funds are based on donation and are fully used for the cause since the bureaucratic structure in Berlin and in Nairobi is minimal.

In March 2023, we started the construction of the Arts Centre in Kibera, Nairobi, the largest non formal settlement in East Africa. ONE FINE DAY works in collaboration with the Nairobi-based organisation ANNO’S ONE FINE DAY. The construction of the Arts Centre is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the GIZ.
