About us
Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e. V. is an organization of the Protestant Order of St. John whose most important concern is helping people. Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe is active in a wide variety of social and charitable areas, whether in outpatient nursing care, child and youth work or humanitarian aid abroad.
In its international work, the central tasks of Johanniter are emergency medical aid after disasters, support in restoring civilian life in crisis areas, the establishment of health services, medical education and training, the fight against infectious diseases and epidemics, and orthopaedic aid for the disabled and war-wounded.
Around 34,000 volunteers and 20,000 employees work for Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e. V. in Germany alone, they all help – out of love for life.
