Dear donor,
Thanks to generous support, a total of 85 euros could be collected in June. Even if this amount seems small at first glance, every donation is a significant contribution to creating valuable encounters and offers of help for Holocaust survivors. June presented us with unprecedented challenges. For a total of 12 days, there was a state of emergency in the country. Everyday life was dominated by the constant threat of rocket fire from Iran, so that public life came to an almost complete standstill. Again and again, everyone had to flee into the bunker to get themselves and others to safety. Uncertainty and fear were omnipresent, spontaneous encounters and planned events had to be cancelled. 



During this time, two significant meetings were held with a total of eight Holocaust survivors. Just one day before the start of the state of emergency, it was still possible to organize another, particularly nice meeting. The joy and gratitude of this get-together was palpable: there was laughter, storytelling and celebrating of the present together without forgetting the past.  The month of June has shown us how fragile security and everyday life can be. The meetings with Holocaust survivors and their families, which took place before the shelling and are now taking place again, are signs of hope and the will to live. 

Every donation, no matter how small it may seem, helps to make such encounters possible.
