Pat's Angels

With the vision "A safe and prosperous future for girls" Pats is an arm of ABSTINENCE KENYA; Pat’s angels provides a place where girls and young women can grow, learn, have fun, and develop confidence in themselves and their ability to make a difference in the world. By delivering strong arts, literacy, entrepreneurship skills, health and leadership programs. It offers the girls a virtual chance to explore exciting fields available in the corporate market as well. Basically we help the girls with:

  • Establishing a Safe Space, where girls feel respected and safe to ask difficult questions and get honest answers.
  •  Building Key Skills, which includes effective communication, critical thinking and creative expression.
  • Engaging in creative Arts and Action, which includes performances and discussions that teach girls to be proud of their bodies

Pat’s angels Football tournament

We plan to hold a GIRLS football tournament,to diversify approaches of increasing access to ASRH services and information to young people with special emphasis on girls, promoting abstinence and behavior change especially among the Muslim youths, the resource centre will strengthen the two girls’ football teams already established.

The clubs will continue to carry out life skills sessions with the Resource centre Peer mentors prior to each training session. The sessions will cover RH issues, HIV and AIDS and drug abuse. The clubs will be supported with training kits and uniforms. The centre will organize an annual games tournament during the 3rd quarter of the year, specifically during the August holiday. The event shall bring together 16 girl’s teams to compete in various games.

  • number of girls and young mothers attending life skills sessions.
  • Number of life skill sessions held.
  • Number of youth reached through the tournament.
  • Number of I.E.C materials distributed during the tournament
