In 1992 after rescuing an orphaned baby monkey, doing a lot of research and being taken to court by the SA government for helping a monkey, it was decided to start a rehabilitation centre where all abused, injured, orphaned monkeys could be taken to so they could be cared for and looked after until they were able to be released back to the wild where they belong.
To be able to care for, feed and clean 8 people are permanently working at the centre, they are assisted at times by volunteers from all around the world.
The animals at the centre benefit from the centre as it gives them a chance to have a normal life in nature.
With sufficient funding more people could be employed to assist with all daily chores.
People will mainly benefit by being able to see these animals in the wild for many years to come.
The biggest challenge is to generate sufficient funds to carry on with the work.
Donations will benefit the organisation to be able to care of and feed all animals at the centre at all times.
