Washroom for the School Children in Akosua village

 

To our donors who contributed for uniforms and books for children at the school, we say a very big thank you. School terms ha began and thankfully, all our 23 newly enrolled students are doing great, however   we face a major challenge that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. “A Washroom for the children”. 

We are at risk of many health problems such as open defecation, which could lead to the outbreak of disease among the children. As we encourage people in the fishing village to engage in healthy practices, it important that we set a good example. Not  having a toilet facility affects our ability to offer a quality education in a safe and healthy environment. Having this facility is also a requirement to get accreditation for the school. 

This is why, we are calling on generous donors like you to contribute as much as you can to help us build the washroom for the children and their teachers. 

The estimated budget is $949. The breakdown is as follows!

·         CHAMBER (POT 3)                        =122 

·         ROOFING (WOOD AND SHEET)    =164
