Dear donators, dear friends,
in the meantime, we have entrusted our partners in Terezin, the Svobodná základní škola, two versions of the exhibition The Girls of Room 28 (a Czech and a German version). The panels are on display in Akademicka 409. We are at the beginning of our cooperation. In order to inform our friends and the public about our Terezin Project, I have just updated our website.
http://www.room28.net/terezin-project/

It is now time to have the existing teaching material translated into Czech, to produce material which is ready to be designed and printed, and to develop new material; also to form an active team and come together for a workshop. This is planned for June.,

A special menue is in work to publish the names of our supporters, and another one to list the names of our active team for the educational part. As I did not ask all of you, let me please ask you again: Would be let me know with a single Yes, if you agree that your name is listed in the menue of supporters on the website of Room 28 e.V. If you prefer not to be mentioned, no mail is necessary. Please write to: brenner@room28.de

I am happy to tell you that one of "The Girls of Room 28", Evelina Merová, née Landová, who lives in Prague, will be awarded the Bundesverdienstkreuz on 23 May in the German Embassy in Prague. Her autobiography is published by Edition Room 28.http://www.edition-room28.de/lebenslauf-auf-einer-seite/ Maybe we will take the chance for a workshop and an event with Evelina in Terezin.
However, in order to realize such an event and all our plans we are dependant on financial support.

If you would help spread our project and promote our cause, this would be wonderful. Our educatonal project is also a means to fight Antisemitism and Rassism and a tool to make young people understand the importance of culture and education in the spirit of Humanism.

During the first March for Science in Berlin I took these snapshots at the Brandenburg Gate. I adore the young man’s spontaneous reaction with his sign "And this is why we need Education".

Thanks for your support, with best regards
Hannelore Brenner
