Support for widows and orphans in Tanzania. We build a home and a chicken farm, where the widows can live, work and earn money. The orphans study at a boarding school and will live in the home during holidays.

HRORG is a non-profit organization which supports orphans and widows in the Arusha region of Tanzania. We are building a widows and orphans home with a chicken farm for eight widows and fifteen orphans. The widows will live in the house and take care of the chickens, while the orphans attend a boarding school and stay in the widows house during their holidays. This will enable the widows, who are all HIV positive, to live together and have their own business. Moreover, it will provide the orphans studying at Meru Peak School with a home to live during their holidays. The home will be located in a village called Kisongo, 13 km away from Arusha town. The building has already partly been built, but more money is needed to complete the construction. In addition, money is need to buy chickens, so the widows can start their business. This project is a cooperation of Tanzanian, Americans and Europeans.
