1st PHAZE OF OPERATION WIPE ILLITERACY

Friends, the below is the final data on how the first program under ''OPERATION WIPE ILLITERACY'' will take off.The district education director at Hohoe in the Volta region released this list on friday when I got to the Volta region to meet with him. RAF always works with government functionaries when it comes to things like this so what we did was to fall on them to give us a list of most deprived rural school there. They came up finally with a list of 24 and we paid a visit to all. After a careful research and talks this is how it stood;* we clustered the following schools to make the donations to;- Gbi Kodzode L/A primary school- Fodome Dzogbega L/A primary school- Likpe Nkwanta L/A primary school- Fodome Ando L/A primary school- Fodome Abladze L/A primary schoolThe above is situated at Hohoe North of the Volta region and the total students there are 342.Here, the donation occasion will be held at (Fodome Dzegbega School compound)- Woadze Xorsekofe L/A primary school- Woadze Tstve L/A primary school- Woadze Adigbokofe L/A primary school- Have Eveyoyoe L/A primary school.The above is situated at Hohoe South of the Volta region and the total students there are 244.Here the donation occasion will be held at (Woadze EP primary school compound)The total students we are targeting to donate to is 586. More than half of this total number are in the LOWER PRIMARY LEVEL and the remaining are in the UPPER PRIMARY LEVEL, hence if we are able to know the total fund raising for OPERATION WIPE ILLITERACY, then we will start working on the exercise books and reading books (ENGLISH BOOK - ''MY FIRST COPY BOOK'') whilst you also work on the pens, pencils, erasers and sharpeners as you said.TARGET OF STUDENTS: Kindergarten to Primary six (6)TARGET OF BOOKS: 5,000 pieces of exercise and reading books.DATE: September 14th 2010.FUND RAISING TARGET: $3,600AMOUNT RAISED SO FAR: $145Please just email us back if you are touched to support the kick start of this program and we will further discuss how to send us the funds or if possible, send it to Lauren and Leanne who are based in Liverpool and will be arriving in Ghana on the 9th of September for this projects and other things...RAF loves you.
