Dear friend and supporter,

Greetings from Kenia, my family, my larger family( Barnabas) and I.We hope that you are fie and safe..

Thank you for your continued support, you have been there for the children althrough this year. You have been very supportive and encouraging. Alone I could not have come this far.

In this year we have seen people from different conners of the world come support us. At first the children had no food, but this year there has been food though at a times we struggled to make ends meet. We thank you so much for those who have come up to help us pay the salary for the teachers. It was real hard for me at the beggining: I had to share the little I had with the teachers, now one out of the four teachers we have is paid for fully.

Again when we started this year we had only one class room which was congested because of the number of kids we have but in July this changed, we build a school with three class rooms and an office. More to this in October we begun building a two roomed permanent home for the kids. When we get more funding for this we will be able to complete it then the kids can start using it possible in February.

We also have received very nice volunters from all over the world. Many of them have helped us to buy some desks, water tanks, reading and writing materials, mattresses e.t.c.

On Monday 12th Dec 2011, we had our quaterly Youth fun day. All the children we take care of came at Barnabas main center and were with them the whole day, teaching ,training them on important life issues. We had facilitators who taught on Career development, HIV and  Aids, Drugs and rug abuse. After lunch we had talent show; there was dancing, poems, drama and many more.

We Barnabas family wish all our friends and supporters a very merry Christmas and prosperous 2012.

Best regards, Harrison
