My Name is Tom wankwasi, one of the founders ot John Leonard Development Association. I am a Ugandan Citizen and a resident of Moigi Town council found in Mpigi district. The projcte's priority is to educate orpharns and other vulnereble children. Under this project, we have managed to educate such children in a school started voluntarly on a land donated by Muma Imelda Kibirige. The school is located on a 4 acre land and is called St.John Leonard Primary school. Although we very much want to help each and every vulnereble child, we are limited by funds . The funds we use are collections from well wishers, fund raisings and also use part of members' savings.We want to fight illiteracy through provision education and we say, "Every child matters" Most ot the children are as a resuld of the HIV/AIDS scourge. The parents of these children died of the epidemic. You will find famillies fostered by fellow orpharned children, single parenthood and chidren comming from very power families. At time carers of children pay a little fee for the childrens' apkeep but fail which results fails even the school to run effectively. The call goes to people of good will to help and come to rescue these vulnereble children to make them live a better world.
