Children are looking for a sponsor to invest in their dreams

The Second term has started a few weeks ago and the weather is autumnlike. Cool air in the morning and evening but pleasantly warm during the day!

The children were asked what they wanted to be when they grow up and it was interesting the see the results of this.

All children have a dream and most of them choose careers that are helpful to others like teacher, nurse, doctor, policeman, soldier. Some had dreams like movie director or physiotherapist while quite a few want to be fashion designers.

On grade 4 boy wants to become a builder of houses and toys and if someone is poor he will only charge R10 (1 euro).

I realized that this is the first generation in South Africa that can have dreams like that as before, during Apartheid, these children's dream would have been squashed through lack of education.

I also read a study recently done that links the level of education clearly to being poor or not.

The importance of education cannot be stressed enough. Our teachers are passionate about guiding the children towards the fulfillment of their dreams and need support to do that.
