On Lesvos, thousands of refugees and asylum seekers live in the Closed Controlled Access Center (CCAC) with almost no dignified employment opportunities.
Paréa Prints is our answer.
Launched in April 2025 by Europe Cares e.V. at the Paréa Lesvos Community Center — just a short walk from the camp — Paréa Prints is a three-year social entrepreneurship initiative focused on professional screen printing. We train people on the move, regardless of their legal status, language level, or work history, and give them hands-on experience fulfilling real client orders.
Our workshop coordinator Rüzgar, who came to Europe 15 years ago and built a career as a printmaking artist and teacher in Berlin, leads the training. Our first trainee assistant Mohammed is already on board, learning and teaching alongside him.
Participants gain technical screen-printing skills, along with language, IT, and employability training, building a real foundation for integration in Europe. Beyond skills, the workshop fosters confidence, creative expression, and community.
By 2029, we aim to:
- Train at least 180 individuals
- Complete 3,000 screen-printed products for real clients
- Build 30 long-term client partnerships
- Reach 50% financial self-sufficiency through sales
Your donation helps us buy the materials we need right now to start properly. Every euro goes directly toward inks, screens, and stock so that the first training batches can produce real, sellable products.
