Looking back on a special year 2020

Dear SALEM Ecuador friends,
Thanks to you, we could make the lives of many people in Ecuador during the COVID crisis a little better.
- Food aid was distributed to more than 400 vulnerable families of the Mindo community in times of lockdown.
- More than 50 families have been participating in our family garden initiative, receiving seeds, plants and advise to grow food in their home gardens.
- 10 women who suffered domestic violence could be given a temporal home in SALEM and were offered therapeutic and organizational support if needed.
- Since September 2020 we have been able to keep our remedial education centre open for small groups of children from vulnerable and underserved families, following a strict hygene protocol. At the moment, we are serving up to 70 children per week in our day care centre, while schools are still closed all over Ecuador.

We are looking forward to staying in contact in 2021.
Warm regards,
Jonas
Keep up the good work!
