Turning waste into opportunity – A clean future for the Dandora landfill in Nairobi, Kenya
The problem we are tackling
The Dandora Landfill , Africa's largest landfill, covers 30 hectares in Nairobi, Kenya. It is a major source of air, soil, and water pollution , putting thousands of families at high risk of respiratory, waterborne, and toxic pollutants.
Who we want to help
Our project aims to improve the living conditions of the communities surrounding the Dandora landfill and the informal waste pickers who rely on the landfill as a source of income. By reducing pollution and implementing sustainable waste management, we are creating a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment for everyone.
Our plan: A sustainable waste solution
We rely on plastic pyrolysis technology , an innovative process that converts hard plastics and old tires into light fuel oil and gas . This solution will:
✅ Reduce waste and pollution
✅ Provide an alternative energy source for industry and households
✅ Create jobs for waste collectors and youth
✅ Promote the circular economy in Kenya

How we will use your donations
💰 Purchase of pyrolysis machines for the recycling of plastics and tires

🚛 Operating costs , including logistics and safety measures
