We are aiming to support the valuable work of the Belarusian Children's Hospice (BCH) (Minsk,
Belarus) by collecting money for medical equipment!
Founded in 1994, BCH was the very first children’s hospice in Belarus. The Belarusian hospice cares each year for more than 200 terminally and chronically ill children as well as their parents and who are involved in the home care of a child. With the help of BCH, many families who have been facing the choice of giving up their child to a life in institutions or hospital wards are able to care for their child at home.
BCH does not receive any state funding and relies on grants and voluntary contributions. All services, drugs and medical equipment are provided by BCH free of charge. For more information please visit: http://www.hospice.by/en/sotrudniki.html
With this collection which comes together with a charity event "One evening in Belarus" we want to raise money to help BCH to finance medical equipment for the medical treatment of children in order to improve the quality of life of ill children and to ease children and parents’ life. After contacting BCH, we received a list of equipment needed for the hospice at the moment:
Oxygen Concentrator (cost ~ 2600 €)
Medical electric pumps with battery (cost ~ 1100€)
Antidecubitus system (cost ~200 €) - 2 x needed
Blood pressure cuff for children (cost ~ 40 €) - 2 x need
You and everyone can help BCH to acquire this medical equipment by joining and supporting
this collection! It is a great opportunity to make a difference!
