Happy 2nd Advent! Stepan, his short story

Dear friends!

I wish you a happy and reflective 2nd Advent and tell you a short story about Stepan the cat. Why is the story short? Because Stepan had a very short stay with me after he moved to his new family.

Stepan spent the first five years of his life with his lovely owner. She loved her cat and the cat loved her. The only problem was that the woman was already elderly and died suddenly. The daughter couldn't or didn't want to keep the cat. I don't know who gave her my number, but she rang me and asked me to take him immediately because she couldn't keep him. I didn't want to judge anyone and just said yes.
The only beloved cat was not feeling well at the shelter. There were only 2 other cats in the room where I kept him at the time, both very peaceful. But even that was a huge stress for him. He hid all the time and didn't want to eat.

Everything was very difficult. The cat missed his mistress, his home and was constantly stressed. But the daughter of the deceased woman looked for a new family for him. And she found it!!! Her soul cat lived in a family for 18 years. And then he died. People missed him very much and wanted to find a
And when they looked through the adverts they were simply surprised: on the photo was their old cat. But that was Stepan. And they took him in.

I would like to say that everything was fine immediately. But it wasn't. Stepan was still sad and stressed. And the woman in the family wanted to give him back. But the man stood up to him and said that he would not allow the cat to be offended. If the woman didn't like him, she could leave herself. And Stepan stayed in the family. He was untameable and unfriendly for a few weeks. But they put up with all that from him. Gradually he has got used to it and finally feels good.

Here is Stepan in his new home.

Dear friends, such stories sometimes happen. But many animals stay at the shelter for many years, some, even most, for their entire lives. That's why it's important to create good living conditions for them: Food, cosy and clean rooms, vaccinations and, if necessary, veterinary help. Unfortunately, all this costs money. That's why we are always very grateful for any help.
