Project aim: The poor Children dropouts in 10 villages will be mainstreamed and the school going children scholastic performance will get improved. poor families will no longer allow children drop outs and child labor ensure compulsory education, and their rights to education be protected.

Project objectives
i. To enroll all poor children dropouts in the non formal education centers in 10 villages.
ii. To enroll all poor school going children for coaching in their subjects to prevent future children drop outs and child labor.
iii. To create awareness and educate the children parents on the importance of education, child development, child rights and child psychology through parents meetings and cultural Yatra (street theater).
To facilitate the formation of children clubs and engage them in development activities and encourage them in extra curricular activities for their expression of hidden talents, potentials etc.

Other grants given to the project: we request grant from Your agency only for the specified project and we the SWEAD will contribute as local contribution sum of 10 % of the total project cost (Euro 545) only.

Project plan: Beneficiaries

We have done needs assessment in the month of March 2010.We have done a detailed survey on the situation of children , school going, drop outs and the children at work, preschool children etc by our volunteers and staff members. Besides we have convened the needs assessment meetings with the parents, local leaders, school teachers and the children simultaneously.
The findings are, in 10 villages, the total population in these villages 3533 (1767 females + 1766 males). School going Children- 1039 (520 boys + 519 girls), Children drop outs – 533 (335 girls and 198).
533 Children dropouts and 1039 school going children are the indented beneficiaries. These children are in the age group of 6 years to 17 years).

Selection of Beneficiaries

Recruitment and orientation, follow up for personnel- I month
- Establishment and running of Non-formal education centers – I month.
