Über uns

Samrakshak Samuha Nepal (SASANE) was established in 2008 by female survivors of human trafficking on the principle that survivors have great potential to create social change. SASANE’s mission is to end the physical and sexual exploitation of women and children, ensure their legal rights, and empower them to live free and dignified lives. We are committed to directly supporting survivors of trafficking and women still employed in the sex industry and to ensuring that they receive justice.

Survivors of human trafficking and women exploited in the night entertainment industry need alternative employment opportunities in order to re-enter society without risk of re-exploitation. By providing women with sustainable livelihoods, SASANE reduces survivors’ vulnerability and allows women to leave situations of sexual or labor exploitation.

Every year, we train more than 30 women to become paralegals. Through training survivors to become certified paralegals, we not only empower women to gain economic independence and resist abuse, but also to help thousands of other victims achieve justice and assert their rights.
