No Border Medics ist eine kleine, spendenfinanzierte NGO in Dunkerque, Nordfrankreich, die seit September 2022 medizinische Hilfe für Flüchtende leistet.
Mit einfachen Mitteln wird die Versorgung von Wunden sowie die Behandlung von Erkältungen, Grippe, Krätze, oder orthopädischen Problemen angeboten.
Angesichts der Missachtung der Verpflichtung der EU-Mitgliedsstaaten allen Menschen existenzielle Lebensgrundlagen bereitzustellen, sieht sich No Border Medics in der Verantwortung, ein temporäres Angebot einer medizinischen Erstversorgung zu schaffen.

Summer on the border: Update from Dunkirk
No Border Medics operations in Dunkirk continue. For the months of May and June, we saw over 3,000 people on the move, people who have been denied their human right of access to basic healthcare.
Summer has been hot so far, and on the ground we've been treating the effects of sun and heat: leading to dehydration, heat exhaustion, and sunburn on skin left exposed for days. We're also seeing fuel and chemical burns from failed crossings, where people are left soaked in petrol. Alongside this, there has been an increase in the number of women and children arriving, all seeking safety and protection in the UK.
At the same time, police evictions in Dunkirk have increased, making our work on the ground increasingly difficult. And on the horizon is the potential opening of a detention center in Dunkirk, under the new EU migration policy which came into effect this year — which could lead to further hardship for the most vulnerable.
Last week alone, we treated a woman with second and third-degree burns across half her body following a failed crossing. We've also seen a recent surge in pregnant women, who have very poor access to antenatal care and are forced to sleep in tents despite the heat, all in the hope of a safer future.
The harder it gets, the more we're needed and we're still here through all of it. But with the rising costs of medical and logistical supplies, we need help to keep going. That's why we're launching a "Fund a Week" campaign: €520 keeps our medical team on the ground for a week, treating the people no one else will. Help us continue our services into winter.
