Hosanna Child Advocacy Network {HOCAN} was established in 2017 to mitigate the effects of Gender-Based Violence {GBV}, especially Violence against Children {VAC} and Violence against Women/Girls {VAWG}. The comprehensive mitigative interventions protect the rights of and promote healing for girls and young women who are victims / survivors of VAWG. Besides being involved in advocacy campaigns to promote and protect of Children’s Rights, HOCAN also started to empower parents and communities towards strengthening child protection in the household and in the community-at-large. HOCAN was registered as a Community-Based Organization {CBO} on June 24, 2021 – registration Number NKU/E/SDO/CBO/432.
