HouseEurope! is a non-profit citizens’ initiative that boosts the renovation of existing buildings, and campaigns against demolition driven by speculation. The practice of demolition is a massive source of Co2 emissions, just as destructive to our ecosystems as food waste, fast fashion and plastic. We use the European Citizens' Initiative (ECI) as a tool of direct democracy to put this topic in the center stage of politics and society. HouseEurope! proposes new laws on EU level to make renovation easier and cheaper. Houses are worth something - Support the initiative to bring this urgent objective to the top of legislators agenda.
